200 turbo MC-2 bottom end
JT hydraulic head with sodium filled exhaust valves and 40mm NG intake valves.
240mm Sachs clutch
Elgin 264/260 cam
I chose the higher compression bottom end to prevent the off-boost doginess of the MC motors. I originally used the 4kq head because I wanted to keep the vacuum pump, but during the EFI conversion ditched it, brakes still have plenty of assist, I couldnŐt really notice any difference. The exhaust is very critical when running higher boost levels, and really helps open up the top end. Overall, I feel, and others have told me that it is a very clean installation (side shot)!
